Compound sentence
Сложносочиненное предложение
Сложное предложение, состоящее из нескольких равноправных частей, то есть таких частей, среди которых нельзя выделить главную и зависимые. Части сложного предложения могут соединяться бессоюзным способом или с помощью сочинительного союза (см. Coordinating conjunctions).

And after a time she turned round and looked at him,and her eyes were full of tears. — Спустя некоторое время она повернулась и посмотрела на него; ее глаза были полны слез.

I had my gun along,but I hadn't shot anything; it was for protection. — У меня было с собой ружье, но я ничего не подстрелил, оно скорее нужно было для защиты.
